oh brooklyn, brooklyn, take me in.

i need to update this more consistently so i can fully convey how great everyone is that is a part of my life.

i have started watching heroes this week and i'm about done with season 1. why have i started watching heroes? because Lost doesn't start until january. that's a long time.

this has been a really great week though. i met some really cool people monday when we went around FIU (florida international university) doing our evangelism stuff. the coolest guy i met was this guy named junny (jew-nee). but he lives on some island off of venezuela and gave me his e-mail so we could stay in touch and visit each other haha. later on monday we divided into men/women groups and we really just broke down and got vulnerable with each other. which i really needed since i missed a lot of the intimate friendships i have back home.

federer broke sampras' record with #15 today! that match was so intense.

people here are really great. a lot of my friendships have grown this past week, but i miss all of you back home! and my friends from random other places. you are all so good to me, i don't think you realize. i'm here for only 3 more weeks though, so i'm stuck between making the best of my time here and being excited to be home.

at first i didn't really understand what all the fuss was about, but hayley williams is hot.

i'm debating leading a bible study at ncsu. i'm not exactly sure what i should
do, so if you would pray that if i'm not supposed to do it that my application would be rejected (yes, you have to apply. straaange).

old crow medicine show. mae. the beatles. kanye.

chi-town what's goin on.

  1. This morning when we had the commissioning ceremony for the Mission Team, Marie or Colleen said when they looked at Luke, he looked somewhat like you!?! As Gdaddy is telling you now, he really does miss you; we'll be very glad to see you in 3 weeks!
Of course, we'll pray for the NCSU bible study and is that is GOD's will for your life at this time, your application will be approved. I've always said if we make ourselves available, then GOD will use us where we are and to the greatest advantage for His work!!
Love ya; miss ya; looking forward to having ya home again! Gma

  3. I was reading a blog by JD Greear yesterday about 'calling'. He thinks a lot of Christians use the fact that they don't feel called to do ____. (fill in the blank) Being a missional Christian isn't a calling, it is what we are to do as Christians. So, no need to wait for the call, just serve!

    I love you-
    Mom

  4. Oops- I didn't finish that sentence....
A lot of Christians use the excuse that they don't feel called as a reason not to serve.
